What I Got Right and Wrong about this NFL Fantasy Football Season
My record really should be better.
I really enjoy fantasy football. I’m in two leagues. One is a keeper league, and the other is not. I won’t go into great detail about how things are going. (Not that well.) I will talk about what I got right and what I fanned on. Sometimes I had some things right, but couldn’t get the player I wanted.
What I got right:
1: Najee Harris is a durable, versatile back, but not really a big-play guy.
Najee has lots of fantasy value based on sheer volume. I drafted him in both leagues and traded him in both leagues. Not because I was unhappy with him, but because I had some really aggressive trade offers. The jury is still out on who got the better of the trades.
2: Ja’Marr Chase is a monster.
3: The crop of rookie receivers is really good. I thought there would be some serious value there, and there has been. Ja’Marr Chase has been a beast. DeVonta Smith looks like he will be good and Kyle Pitts has broken out recently. Of those three, I snagged Smith. I wish I had gotten Chase, but you can’t win them all.
