Top 10 Moving Tips
You may actually be able to use some of these.
Well, my family and I are in the midst of a move. As I look at the picture associated with this piece, I wonder why that guy is smiling. I suspect he’s posing, not actually moving.
A move is a great litmus test to find out how many friends you have. Friends with a truck can become best friends. Friends with a truck and a strong back can become legends.
We were happy to find we had a surprisingly high number of good friends. Or a lot of people who wanted to get us out of state. Those of you who read my stuff know I’m basically a positive guy, so I will go with that, “a lot of good friends” theory. So, here are some moving tips for people with little money and time.
1: As soon as you know you will be moving, cultivate friendships with guys who own trucks.
Sure, William was your best friend and would give you a kidney if needed, but he drives a compact car and has a bad back. Will might have to take a backseat to Budda who owns a big truck and is obviously overcompensating for something. Don’t overanalyze Budda’s mental health, buy him a beer. Maybe two depending on how soon moving day is approaching.
