Couple great material with a tremendous delivery, and sprinkle in some nervous mannerisms that enhanced the performance, and you have one of the great standup comics of all time. 1: Rodney was born as Jacob Cohen in Babylon, New York.
So, Rodney was born a Jew in Babylon. The lack of respect started early. Baylon was a tough crowd or a Jew, I’m telling ya.
2: To cope with a difficult childhood, Rodney began writing jokes at round the age of 15.
He sold to some high-profile comedians, including Jackie Mason and Joan Rivers. He might not have been getting respect, but his talent was.
