Loni Anderson seemingly burst upon the scene in the late 70s when she appeared in WKRP in Cincinnati as Jennifer Marlow. I didn’t realize that she had actually played a small role in the classic western, Nevada Smith. She played a dark-eyed saloon girl. Her role was uncredited.

Beyond her acting career, she is also known for her high-profile marriage to Burt Reynolds. Spoiler alert: It didn’t end well. With that foundation in place, here are some things you didn’t know about Lonnie Anderson.

1: After her small role in Nevada Smith, she when about a decade before starting to get some guest starring roles in some TV series. Most were in police series.

She appeared on S.W.A.T. twice. In addition, she had a role on Police Woman. On Police Woman, she was able to compare hair coloring tips with Angie Dickinson.

2: She auditioned for the role of Chrissy in “Three’s Company.

Obviously, she didn’t get the role, but she did get a guest starring role in the second season of the series. It seems like she would have been a natural replacement for Suzanne Somers.
