Things You Didn’t Know About Jim Morrison
Some great songs, but a tumultuous life.
My initial impression of Jim Morrison was that he was the poster child for the “sex, drugs, and rock and roll” mantra. I do like some of his music. Plus, the old movie, ‘Eddie and the Cruisers reminded me of Morrison’s story. Of course, I may have been the only one to have seen that movie.
There was a sequel to “Eddie and the Cruisers”, called ‘Eddie lives. But , like Elvis, it’s hard for fans to accept that music legends die. It seems like I have gotten off topic here.
Anyway, here are some things you might not have known about Jim Morrison and the Doors.
1: When Jim was in college he made two movies, ‘First Love’, and ‘Obscura’.
I believe the second title is a typo. I believe the real name is ‘Obscure.”
2: While he was in college, Morrison reportedly would sketch really vile stuff.
I would have had zero interest in writing gags for him.
3: Morrison’s IQ was reported to be 146.
While Morrison may have been a genius, he wasn’t stable.
