When I saw “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” I thought it was the best movie I had ever seen. It’s still at least a top five. Jones is my favorite action hero. While “Crystal Skull” wasn’t a fan of critics and I have to admit it wasn’t a cinema masterpiece, it was entertaining to see Jones and Miriam back in action. Shia LaBeouf as Mutt Williams didn’t do much for me, but that’s me.

The latest Indiana Jones movie, ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” hits theaters June 30. So, let’s take a look at one of the greatest action heroes of all time. Here are some things you might not have known about Indiana Jones.

1: Originally Indiana Jones was named Indiana Smith.

Other names considered were Indiana Johnson, Indiana Williams, Indiana Brown, and Nebraska Jones. Wait, being told none of those were considered.

2: In “Temple of Doom” all three of the main characters, Short Round, Willie and Indiana are all named after dogs.

And the music for the movie was performed by ‘Three Dog Night.” What’s that? Being told that’s not right either.
