Things You Didn’t Know About Elizabeth Taylor
Her personal life exceeded her great film career.
By the time some of us knew much about Liz Taylor her celebrity had eclipsed her acting career. I haven’t spent much time watching Liz’s movies. I do, however, remember seeing her on the Dallas Cowboys’ sideline as owner Jerry Jones’ guest.
I also remember seeing her on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and remember what a vivacious and witty guest she was. Of course, her fragrance line, jewelry, multiple marriages, and health issues dominated the later part of her life. She had a lot going on so here are some things we might not know about Liz Taylor.
1: She was a mutant.
Well, maybe that was a little strong, but her beautiful eyes were in part due to a mutation. She had twice the number of eyelashes as most people. Having twice the number of eyelashes is a good thing. Having twice the number of eyebrows, not so much.
2: She was a Dame.
Queen Elizabeth II named her Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Being a Dame of the British Empire is prestigious, being a Jersey Shore Dame, not really.
