10 Things You Did Not Know About Camping
I’m not really a fan.
Some people really enjoy camping. I'm not one of them. In my mind, I’m not sure why I would want to pretend I’m homeless. If I want to stay at a state park. I’ll rent a cabin or stay in the lodge. Hopefully the facility will have good internet and TV. And I want fairly easy access to food and other amenities. Suffice it to say, roughing it doesn’t appeal to me.
But there are some Jerimiah Johnson types who really enjoy it. So, here are some things you might not know about camping.
1: Married couples are more likely to have sex while camping than at home.
This is one factor I had overlooked when thinking about the popularity of camping. I wonder if boredom is a contributing factor. This also explains why so many campers take Barry White music with them.
2: Death Valley is the second most dangerous spot in the United States to camp.
Who thinks camping in a place called ‘Death Valley” is a good idea? Probably the same type of people that went on a camping trip with the Donner Party.
