As I get older, I find I gravitate toward activities that require little effort. Watching TV and eating come to mind. Of course, these are probably not the most beneficial things to do for my health. Still, those are easy actives and kind of enjoyable.

So, how can you tell when you’ve crossed the line from lazy to couch potato? Check out these telltale signs.

1: You get your family to form a search party if you can’t find the TV remote.

Actually, the disappearance of the remote creates a state of emergency. As a tip, if you can’t find the remote, the first place you should look is in your couch cushions.

2: People look to you as a reference as to where to find obscure TV shows.

You seem to have an encyclopedic knowledge of programming of even cable channels with limited viewership.

3: Your favorite sport is channel surfing.

Your idea of hanging 10 is watching TV for 10 consecutive hours.

4: Most of your exercise comes from going to the bathroom and kitchen.

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
