The Bulls “Ring of Honor Night” Turns Disastrous

And it’s so typical.

Friday night the Chicago Bulls tried to honor some of the key players in their distant glorious past. And, as has generally been true of their more recent past with anything associated with the Bulls, it turned out terribly. And it was somewhat predictably. First of all, the biggest players didn’t show.

If Jordan and Pippen weren’t going to show, what was the point?

Jordan is easily the greatest player in Bulls history and Pippen is the second best. So, they probably would like to get together and reminisce, right? Maybe they could compare family photos. What’s that? Seems like that might be a bad idea.

It seems Pippen’s ex-wife is now dating MJ’s son. Well, that’s bit awkward. Larsa Pippen did say Michael Jordan gave the relationship his blessing.

I’m not sure that makes things any smoother. Pippen has made some off the wall remarks about just how great Jordan was. Frankly, Scottie is just a little hard to follow sometimes.

The bottom line, though Jordan did send a video for the event, he didn’t, for whatever meeting show up. So, what’s the point. It’s like the Bulls put a “Kick Me” sign on their back, and it’s seems like Jordan and Pippen obliged. If the honor means that…
