Obviously, as we get older, our situation in life changes. We face different issues and have different choices to make. Sometimes we can’t tell exactly where we are in life. As an example, in the above cartoon some of us may have retired and not even realized it. Of course, sometimes we can be a little slow about realizing where we are in life. Other people can be more aware of the reality of our situation than we are. So, let’s consider some questions we face as we get older.

1: Should I still be driving?

If we are asking that question, the answer is probably no. If nobody will ride with us, that’s probably a pretty good clue in itself.

I had a good friend who was in his upper 70s and had very poor eyesight. He was a man of strong faith. To the point he was driving by faith, not by sight. Probably not a great situation when it comes to driving.

2: Should I eat Mexican food?

Well, in the words of Dirty Harry, “Do you feel lucky?” And once again, take into consideration those around you.

3: When do I start divesting myself of assets?

How many assets do you have? Do you have to worry about an inheritance tax? Fortunately…
