Most Cats’ Lives Would Make a Poor Musical
Let’s face it, most of their lives just aren’t that exciting.
For most of my life, I haven’t had much interaction with cats. Then my son’s cat, Cobe, moved in with us. Having dealt with him for about three years, I don’t think I have a basis for a box office smashing musical at this point.
His life revolves around eating, sleeping, and trying to escape outside to eat some grass. He will, on occasion, show a burst of energy and gallop thru the house for about 30 seconds. He will also occasionally show brief recognition to family members. Not much to work with there.
Watching a cat sleep has limited entertainment value. Since Cobe is overweight, maybe I could make a heartwrenching documentary about his brave battle against overeating. Of course, there are two things wrong with that. He’s not that brave, and he’s not battling his overeating, he’s embracing it.
It could be his affinity for grass could make for an interesting video.
Of course, his issue doesn’t involve a dealer, just a yard. It seems he’s a recreational grass eater, though I hope it doesn’t go…
