Modern Medicine can Test Your Sense of Humor
How would you react to these situations.
If any of us attempt to write humor we’ve probably had someone tell us we’re funny. If not, you’re either really, really shy, or delusional. So, how can you tell if you’re witty or funny? Generally, the reaction of those around you.
For example, when you crack a one-liner, is it greeted with laughter? If not, you might want to rein it in. But if so, you can generally gain confidence as you go. Plus, people that are genuinely funny are for the most part, able to look at things from a different angle than others. For example, I went for my first colonoscopy recently.

My father had colon cancer. My two sons recently had their first colonoscopy, and both had precancerous polyps removed. And that point I finally decided to have the procedure myself.
It’s true, the prep is worse than the procedure itself. My doctor may have oversold it, however. She likened it to a spa day. When I told that to the PA who scheduled the procedure for me, she and the staff had a good laugh.
I briefly considered changing doctors at that point but decided against it.
