Indian Food made me Appreciate Fast Food
I’m fine with chicken and pizza.
You may not know it to look at me, but I eat a lot of fast food. Okay, when you look at me you probably do know it. I like pretty much any type of food, though I have to admit Indian cuisine has been challenging for me. I once went with a group of friends to an Indian buffet and the aftermath wasn’t pretty. I now understand why Gandhi was skinny and wore a diaper. I also like deserts. Generally conventional deserts, though on occasion I will eat outside the box. My experience at the Indian buffet indicated to me, they have a different take on deserts than I do.
Their idea of dessert was some sugar dough balls floating in sugar water. That wouldn’t have been so bad, but I wish somebody had told me that I wasn’t supposed to bob for those things. It was embarrassing, and not worth the effort.
I’ve done somewhat better with Greek food. A while back, I was with some friends in Tarpon Springs, FL. They have an area of Greek restaurants and shops near the sponge docks there. I will say that one restaurant, in particular, caught my eye. It was named, “A Taste of Greece”. I’m not sure if it was by design or accident. Generally, if I want a taste of grease, I’ll go to KFC.
