Have you fallen prey to some of these?

Cartoon by Lambert-King

My weight has generally been about the same of a number of years. And that’s more than it should be. Yet somehow, I’ve been able to delude myself into thinking I’m not THAT fat. And then it hit me. I’ve been deluding myself for years.

It happened suddenly. I walked by a mirror without a shirt on and saw my profile. I then had an overpowering urge to binge watch Alfred Hitchcock. And then it dawned on my why. Now, I preparing to go on the Keto diet. By preparing I mean I’m eating everything around me that isn’t included in the Keto diet.

Then I started wondering, what are some other self-delusions. Consider these:

1: Delusions of grandeur. This is becoming more and more prevalent it seems. It’s manifested by the feeling that only I can handle the situation.

Less common is “Delusion of Gander” wherein a person thinks he’s a goose. If said person lays an egg seek immediate medical attention.

2: Erotomanic Delusions. This is the feeling that someone famous is in love with you. Taken to extremes, this can be a serious situation.

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
