I’m afraid her dead father betrayed her.

When you watch as much YouTube as I do, you notice some of the same commercials directed towards you have a theme. For example, I notice a lot of life insurance commercials heading my way. Some of these have even started a storyline.

For instance, I remember one commercial where an old man and his middle-aged daughter are coming back from a funeral and are distraught. I can’t remember who died but it’s irrelevant to my story, if not who died and their relatives.

Regardless, the old man/father is comforting his daughter by saying when his time comes, she won’t half to worry about funeral expenses. He had life insurance. Well, how responsible of him!

What happened?

Sometime later this same woman and some relative, husband, brother, whatever were attending a funeral. I got the distinct impression it was her father’s funeral. Fortunately, her father had life insurance to pay for the funeral, right? Apparently not.

As this woman and the guy who was grieving with her were coping with their loss, the funeral director comes along and confronts them with an unpaid bill for $11,000. What happened to that paid life insurance? So many questions.

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
