I Made $900 on Medium in March.

Ok, it was actually $897.87.

I had a good month on Medium. I’m not saying it to take a victory lap, I’m saying it because I needed to write something today and I thought this might catch some readers' eyes. By squinting at the poorly done image I thought I might increase read time. There is also something else to consider. Something that might actually be helpful to Medium writers. I’ve had a theory about writing for Medium and it’s working.

The key to succeeding on Medium is writing and posting on a regular basis.

You’ve probably seen me harp on this before, but it’s true. Last month I got paid on 227 articles. Granted, most of those amounted to pennies, or in some cases, an actual penny. I made a dollar or more on 63 of those pieces. Writing for Medium is a long game. As you can see, I had a few articles do really well last month.

Right now my article, Things That Surprised Me When I got Old, is going viral. I posted the article on March 26 and it has made $40.76 through the end of March. It could serve as the centerpiece of a good April. If you squint hard enough, you’ll see my most successful pieces appeal to older readers.
