There is more to the story than square hamburgers.

As a fast-food guy, I like lots of fast-food places. Included in the fast-food places I like is Wendy’s. Wendy’s has some menu items that separate it from McDonald’s and Burger King. For example, their baked potato and chili. While I like the items well enough, especially the chili, the items are even more meaningful to my wife. She has celiac disease and those are some of the few fast-food items she can eat.

In general, Wendy’s menu seems a bit more diverse to me than other fast-food burger places. Beyond the items I mentioned, they also offer a salad option. And their Frosties are really good. Now, on to some more facts about Wendy’s.

1: On September 29, 2008, Wendy’s merged with the parent company of Arby’s. The company is now known as the Wendy’s Company.

But Arby’s says they have the meats. So, what does Wendy’s have? The buns?

2: The company is known for their square meat patties.

So, while you can’t fit a round peg in a square hole, you can put a square parry on a round bun. Though actually Wendy’s wasn’t the first burger place to have square patties. That would be Kewpee Burgers in
