They have an interesting history.

Back in the 60s it seems like we heard more about UFOs. Maybe UFOs aren’t getting as much attention as they did back then because people have more pressing concerns. Like survival.

Still, I wondered about the history of UFOs and what information was available about them. That’s a really basic intro to the subject, but it’s going to have to suffice. On to some facts about UFOs.

1: Many UFOs have a fairly easy explanation such as eclipses or meteor showers.

You might also add alcohol to that list.

2: In addition to UFO, the Defense Department, now War Department, came up with the acronym “UAP,” or “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.”

Look for a new acronym, WWT, or What Was That.

3: Various scientists stationed in Antarctica have reported seeing UFOs.

Those sightings are generally attributed to being weather, balloons or geographical ice patterns. Boredom and an active imagination may also have been factors.

4: Scientists have been trying to communicate with aliens

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
