Over the years, there have been countless TV spinoffs. Most aren’t particularly good. However, there have been some exceptions. And one of the best of those exceptions was Frasier.

The titular character, Frasier Crane, was somewhat of a latecomer to the Cheers world but he certainly made his mark. Frasier proved to be a multi-dimensional character, and the supporting cast was epic. Like almost all long running TV shows, it wasn’t quite as strong at the end, tending to devolve into a bedroom farce. Still, all in all, it was one of the funniest shows in recent memory. Now, on to some facts about Frasier.

1: The show was set in Seattle so has to get as far away from Boston as possible. The idea was to make fewer crossover episodes with the cast of Cheers.

But there were still some crossovers. It just goes to show that in TV, there ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley low enough ain’t no river wide to stop crossovers.

2: Lisa Kudrow was originally going to play Roz Doyle, but she wasn’t deemed forceful enough to match Kelsy Grammar when he was going full tilt.
