15 Facts About Rhode Island
It seems somewhat anonymous.
My knowledge of Rhode Island is admittedly sketchy. As I go through some more information, I’ll try to find out about the history of the state, as well as famous people from Rhode Island and other basics such as tourist attractions, the state’s economy and whatever other interesting tidbits I can find.
I’m beginning this piece with an almost nonexistent of the subject. So, after brushing up on my knowledge of Rhode Island, here are some things you didn’t know about Rhode Island.
1: Rhode Island is the smallest state of the Union, but the seventh least populated.
It’s actually the second most densely populated state in the U S, behind only New Jersey. So, Jersey has the densest population. And that’s not because of the cast of Jersey Shore.
2: Rhode Island was settled by Roger Williams who fled from religious persecution in the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
That would explain while he named the place he settled ‘Providence.” Roger Williams and John Clarke became founders of the Baptist faith in America.
