Facts About Little Debbies
Fact one is they are really good.
People that know me pretty well know I have a fondness for Little Debbies. They are sometimes my snack of choice as I work on my various articles. That also accounts for the reason why my keyboard is sometimes sticky.
While I’ve done a lot of field research on Little Debbies in their various forms, I thought I’d do a little deeper dive into the product and company. Check out these facts about Little Debbies.
1: McKee Foods, the maker of Little Debbies, is located in Collegedale, Tennessee.
And there’s good news, they are expanding, much like their customers.
2: A recent study shows that snacking is preferred to eating meals by 59% of those surveyed.
I’m pretty magnanimous when it comes to eating, I like meals and snacks. To be they are like ebony and ivory, living in perfect harmony.
3: The company had its beginnings in the Great Depression.
At that time the owner, O. D. McKee, sold snack cakes from the back of his car for 5 cents. A couple of things strike me as ironic about that. I find it amusing that the founder of Little Debbies…
