He had quite a TV career.

As I think about it, Lee Majors has had a remarkable acting career, especially in TV. Lee had a nice run as The Six Million Dollar Man, but that wasn’t my favorite Lee Majors series. I prefereed The Fall Guy and The Big Valley.

In addition to his career, he was also famous for marrying Farrah Fawcett. I’m sure there are some more interesting facts about Lee’s career and life but we get into that later. Like now.

1: Lee was an excellent athlete in high school and went on to play college football at Eastern Kentucky University.

There he suffered an injury that left him paralyzed for two weeks. Then doctors decided, ‘we can make him stronger, faster.” Wait, that’s another part of his story.

2: After he graduated from college he was offered a tryout with the St. Louis Cardinals football team.

He decided against it. Which goes to show the value of a college education.

3: Lee’s first screen role was an uncredited one in a flashback scene as Joan Crawford’s cheating husband in “Strait-Jacket.”

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
