Jane Fonda comes from one of the most famous families in Hollywood. She’s had a great film career, been famously married to Ted Turner and been referred to as Hanoi Jane. Suffice it to say, opinions about Jane vary.

I decided to do a little deeper dive into Jane’s life and see what I could find out. So, here are some things you might not have known about Jane Fonda.

1: Fonda was nominated for an Acadamy Award in her work in “They Shoot Horses Don’t They?”

The movie was particularly grim with Fonda apparently being mistaken for a horse at the end. Whoops, that wasn’t the case.

2: She won an Acadamy Award for her performance as the titular character in “Klute.”

Of course, Jane played a call girl in the movie. Before playing the character, she interviewed some call girls because she didn’t think she had it in her to play a call girl. She ultimately decided she did. So, is that good or bad?

3: In 1982, Fonda released her workout video, “Jane Fonda’s Workout.” It was a huge seller.

It was especially popular with middle-aged guys who enjoyed sitting on the couch and watching Jane exercise. Okay, that’s just speculation on my part.

4: Because of her opposition to the Vietnam War, she picked up the nickname, “Hanoi Jane.”

In later years, Fonda expressed some regret over her actions. Perhaps because of her workout tapes, Jane displayed something seldom seen in political views, flexibility.

5: Fonda is unashamed of being a member of “The Mile High Club.”

Why should she be? Lots of people have been to Denver. What’s that? Being told that’s not what the Mile High Club means.

6: While Jane professes love for her famous father, Henry Fonda, she said he sent the wrong message saying…
