Not every movie he did had Walter Matthau in it.

By all accounts, Jack Lemmon was a great actor. I’ve enjoyed some of his work, but I have to admit most of it wasn’t what he would put at the top of his resume. I enjoyed the pictures he made with Walter Matthau. You know, the Grumpy Old men movies, as well as “Out to Sea,” which was basically a cruise ship version of Grumpy Old Men.

1: One of Jack’s more memorable movies was, “Some Like it Hot.” He played about 80% of his role in drag.

It’s reported that he modeled his work after his mother. Apparently, he tried to follow in his mother’s heels.

2: Lemmon thought his role as Joe Clay, in “The Days of Wine and Roses’ was a turning point in his career.

Prior to that part, Lemmon played in mostly comedies. Clay was an alcoholic businessman. I guess that’s where the wine came in. Lemmon won an Acadamy Award nomination for his work in the film.

3: Lemmon played the villain, Professor Fate, in the 1965 alleged comedy, “The Great Race.”

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
