Henry Fonda is recognized as one of the best actors in the history of cinema. He also is father to Peter and Jane Fonda, but beyond that, he has another outstanding characteristic. He was really good in westerns. And he could play a good guy, or bad guy.

Perhaps his most notable work was in Once Upon a Time in the West, but he was also outstanding in Warlock, Hard Times and Firecreek. Those are just a few that came to mind off the top of my head. Beyond his impressive movie resume, here are some more facts about Henry Fonda.

1: Henry was good friends with Jimmy Stewart, but they didn’t share the same political views. Fonda was a liberal democrat and Stewart was a republican.

It kind of reminds me of that song, Ebony and Ivory. Well, I guess in this case it was more like Ivory and Ivory.

2: In the latter part of his career, Fonda appeared in some disaster movies. One was an Italian killer octopus thriller Tentacles.

It seems like that was part of a little-known movie genre known as Spaghetti Disasters.
