George Clooney presents as a handsome everyman. Whether that’s actually who he is, I don’t know, but he seems like the type of guy you could watch a ballgame with while having a beer. While he has an impressive movie resume, he also has quite a collection of TV work to his credit.

Some of us might remember him as Jackie’s boss/boyfriend on Roseanne. Others might remember his stint on The Facts of Life. And still others of us might remember him from ER. After citing elements of his resume, it’s on to facts about George Clooney.

1: George’s father, Nick Clooney was a TV host and anchorman.

His career was the basis for the Ron Burgundy character. Hold on, being told that’s completely bogus.

2: Clooney wanted to be a major league baseball player, even trying out with the Cincinnati Reds. However, he was not offered a contract.

Not only that, he didn’t even get a role in the Warren Beatty movie, Reds.
