It was definitely one of the best sitcoms of all time.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” is a great comedy about the nuclear family. Well, more like the nuclear disaster family. But all the primary characters were funny and well-developed. Despite being flawed, the characters had a certain likeableness. Even Marie and Frank Barone had redeeming qualities.

Let’s take a look at some things you might not have known about this great sitcom.

1: Peter Boyle battled flatulence during shooting.

Well, he had flatulence, I’m not sure how much he battled it. If he did battle it, it was a losing battle. And did he suffer from it, or did those around him?

2: Not everybody loved Raymond, at least initially.

Brad Garrett, aka Robert Barone, wasn’t thrilled with Ray Romano initially. He also thought the show wouldn’t last. As time went on, it seems like Raymond grew on people.

3: Patricia Heaton would argue with Peter Boyle for real on the set. Heaton is politically conservative while Boyle was a liberal.

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
