Eddie Murphy is perhaps best known for one of the movies characters he played. That’s right, I’m talking about Pluto Nash. What’s that? You never saw Pluto Nash? Well, maybe you’re more familiar with his role as Axel Foley in the Beverly Hills Cop series. Foley really is an iconic character. One where Murphy broke out his iconic laugh.

While not all of Murphy’s movies have been box office hits, his talent is undeniable. His imitation of James Brown on SNL was amazing. And his Mr. Robinson character was also hilarious. With that little bit of background, here are some things you probably didn’t know about Eddie Murphy.

1: Murphy often plays multiple roles in his movies. This is intended to pay tribute to one of his favorite actors, Peter Sellers.

Maybe he should have played Inspector Clouseau instead of Steve Martin in that Pink Panther remake. Something different should definitely have been done.
