‘Love Story” really got her career going.
Ali McGraw starred in Love Story, which is one of the greatest romantic movies of all time. So I am told. I’ve never seen it, but not to worry, I’ve seen some notes on it, and I know it was huge at the box office. But I also know a little bit more about Ali.
For example, I know she was married to Steve McQueen, but that did not go well. I also know she was huge in the modeling industry. Not huge in the plus size sense, but huge in that she was very popular. With this little bit of knowledge in hand going into this project, here are some things you didn’t know about Ali McGraw.
1: Though Ali is probably best known for her role in “Love Story,” she appeared in ‘Goodbye, Columbus before that. Ali received a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her work in that film.
You might recall that Goodbye, Columbus is a historical film that involves the king and queen of Spain telling Columbus goodbye as he leaves for the New World. Hold on, being told that the Columbus is question is Columbus, Ohio.
