We all experienced the need to use a public bathroom. Maybe we’ve been traveling, or maybe you’re at a restaurant. And then you feel the need to use the facilities. And you know that can lead to a wide array of possible outcomes. Not about the bodily functions, but about the surrounding circumstances.

Today I’m going to explore a situation that comes up occasionally. I’m going to be as delicate as I can about it. I was in a stall and when someone came knocking.

I believe the Latin term for that is poopus-interuptus.

And things were going so well.

It was a real mood breaker

I was with a group of friends at one of my favorite fast-food places when I went to the bathroom. I’ve been there many times before, and it’s like a box of chocolates. Metaphorically speaking.

The condition of the bathroom depends on, in large measure who has been there ahead of me recently. Well, today I hit the jackpot. It had been recently cleaned. And life was good. Things were going well. Then it happened.

I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in…
