Do Kids Still Use These School Supplies?
I believe some of these are obsolete.
I have no idea what kids need to start school these days. It seems like they need an electronic device of some sort. That and more security, as well as a wardrobe that won’t get them ridiculed.
I remember when tablets weren’t electronic.
I needed to get some sort of paper tablet to start school with. The brand I remember in particular is “Big Chief.” I remember it because that grade of paper seemed to be particularly low. You were actually in danger of getting splinters as you wrote a paper. Those tablets should have been sold with tweezers.
I think that the paper might have even contained some tree bark. Those tablets might not have been the best, but they were memorable.
We would occasionally break out our rulers.
Sometimes because the teacher would want us to learn about measuring stuff and sometimes because we wanted to smack our fellow students with them. They could also be used to hone sword fighting skills. While rulers would work, getting your hands on a yardstick was even better.
You could tell your opponent, “I see you brought a ruler to a yardstick fight.”
