Bill Murray Becomes Latest Guy to Mistake Disgusting Conduct for Humor
No Bill, it wasn’t funny.
Generally speaking, I like Bill Murray’s work. He did some solid work on SNL and followed that up with some nice comedic movies. “Groundhog’s Day” is my particular favorite. So, you would think Bill would know what comedy is. But, according to Bill, you would be wrong.
It seems Murray was accused of kissing a much younger woman’s body while straddling her. Wow, that’s sounds hilarious, or like sexual assault. That was the most recent allegation. Look for others to follow.
Bill’s explanation? “I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way.” Once again, how is that perceived as funny?
This second Murray quote, also from the New York Post, is perhaps telling. Murray said, “The world’s different than it was when I was a little kid. Things change, times change.”
The problem is things were really wacked when a lot of us were kids. Stuff like Murray allegedly did was never appropriate. It’s just that type of conduct was tolerated, which led to a sense of entitlement. Which led to terrible behavior.
