As a Senior, are You Winning at Life?
Take solace where you can.
As I get older, I find myself taking stock of where I am in life. Like most people my age, I find myself concerned things like inflation, health, health care and things of that nature. So, how can a senior tell just how dire their situation is in relation to their peers?
I recently saw a brief YouTube video that talked about six ways you can tell you are winning at age 70. There were some nice points. They probably even involved some research. Well, I’m going to give my take on winning as you age. Is this article a medical piece with actual benefit? Naw. As usual. if you find anything educational, it’s purely unintentional, and I’m sorry. Now on to some ways you can tell you’re winning at life as a senior.
1: You can stand on one leg for 30 seconds.
That’s for ages 60–69. Obviously that number goes down as you get older. If you can do that. Do what I did. See if I could sit on one cheek for 30 seconds.
2: You’re still maintaining relationships and even establishing new ones.
There needs to be a qualifier on this one. If a cashier calls you “honey” or “sweety” doesn’t mean it a friendship or a new relationship.
