Facts About “Home Improvement”

Regardless of how you feel about Tim Allen’s politics, it was a great show.

During the 90s, “Home Improvement” was one of the funniest shows on TV. Over the years Allen has taken a hit for his politics, but the man is undeniably funny as was “Home Improvement.” Tim Allen was obviously the centerpiece of the show, but the supporting cast was also strong. Jill Richardson in particular stood out. As a bonus, it was a family friendly show.

Allen went on to star in another successful series, “Last Man Standing.” While some viewers may have been put off by the main character’s politics, it was also funny, just not as funny as “Home Improvement.” But enough of that. Here are some things you didn’t know about Home Improvement.

1: The idea of Hillary Clinton appearing on the show was floated by her press secretary to the show.

Obviously, it didn’t happen. I’m guessing the idea of her appearing on “Last Man Standing’ would have been even more remote.

2: The “Tool Time” audience was also the audience for “Home Improvement.

Of course, the Tool Time audience would see a little salter show as Tim Allen would sometimes use off-color language during tapings. It seems…
