15 Strange Scientific Facts
This kind of stuff can make science more interesting.
When I was going to school, I liked science fairly well, but found some scientific fields interested me more than others. Plus, it would be nice if some people thought outside the scientific box.
Take, for example, Pavlov’s dog. We are told Pavlov was able to condition his dog to drool due to anticipating food. Well, maybe Pavlov's dog was ahead of the curve. Maybe he thought if he stopped drooling, the food would stop. Maybe the dog trained Pavlov. With that in mind, here are some other odd scientific facts.
1: Forget about being light as a cloud.
A cloud can weigh up to one million pounds.
2: Rats laugh when they are tickled.
I just wonder how this fact came to light. They will also laugh at a good joke. Well, apparently that's not so. Either that or the rat I’m working on my material with doesn’t like my sense of humor.
3: You can’t burp in space.
Because of lack of gravity, the burp turns to puke. That’s being the case, I wonder if astronauts are afraid to fart?
