15 Facts About Pigs
They seem to be getting better PR lately.
I really do love animals. And yet despite that, I love meat. Generally, I’ve gotten semi-comfortable with my hypocrisy but sometimes I see things that give me pause. At this time, I’ll talk a little bit about pigs. Sometimes I find it hard to eat a pork chop after watching an episode of Green Acres that features Arnold Ziffel.
In addition, while pigs are generally depicted as nasty and generally unappealing, more recent info has put them in a more positive light. I’ll delve into this a little bit more. Here are some facts about pigs.
1: Despite their bad rap, they are really clean animals. Given a choice, they won’t poop where they eat and sleep.
That not pooping where they eat and sleep thing is nice, but that seems like kind of a low bar to be considered a clean animal.
2: Pigs are smarter than dogs. They are actually considered the fifth smartest.
Unfortunately for them, their intelligence has not been able to overcome their tastiness.
