I really don’t know much about Connecticut. I’ve used the airport in Hartford, but beyond that I’ve had little experience in the state. I believe there are a lot of insurance companies based there, but I will have to verify that.

So, looking into the state of Connecticut provides me with quite a learning opportunity. So, after some reading, here are some things you didn’t know about Connecticut.

1: The first main body of settlers to arrive in the area were Puritans led by Thomas Hooker.

That’s an odd group, Puritans led by a Hooker.

2: John Winthrop the Younger received a commission to create Saybrook Colony in Connecticut in 1636.

John Winthrop the Younger, did they just not believe in Juniors back then?

3: Yale College was established in 1701.

It soon became a hot bed of training in theology, finance and snobbery.

4: Connecticut has been a huge supplier of arms during Us wars from the Civil War to WW1 and WW2. The cold war took a toll on
