Some of us might remember “The Waltons” as a heartwarming story of a mountain family who overcame poverty to establish one of the biggest retail operations in the world. If that’s what you remember, then you need to adjust your meds. The Waltons we will be considering today are the guys that were on TV during the 70s.

Now that we are all on the same page, here are some things you might not remember about ‘The Waltons.”

1: Some of the cast members battled with alcoholism.

Ralph Waite and Michael Learned both struggled with the issue. A number of questions come to mind. Where was the still?? Was having all of those kids the cause or effect of drinking?

Thankfully, Waite and Learned eventually got a handle on the situation.

2: Mary McDonough, aka Erin Walton, had some regrets regarding surgery.

McDonough elected to have breast augmentation surgery after the leaving the series. She suffered from medical issues afterwards and feels the breast augmentation was to blame.
