11 Things You Didn’t Know About Danny DeVito
He seems to be omnipresent.
Like many of you, I first became aware of Danny Devito from his work in the classic TV series, Taxi. His Louie De Palma character was a great counterbalance to the nice guys and gal that drove taxis. He was like a bad guy wrestler that you couldn’t help but like. But Danny’s career takes in so much more.
My wife was watching the movie, Rainmaker, in which Danny plays a big role. It reminded me of just how many good roles Danny has played. So, here are some things you didn’t know about Danny DeVito.
1: Danny’s fondness for Jersey Mike’s subs is for real.
He grew up in Ashbury Park, New Jersey, near the original Jersey Mike’s location and ate there regularly. I like it when a guy can eat with conviction.
2: At the age of 14, Danny talked his father into sending him to a boarding school to “keep him out of trouble.”
That’s quite a variation from the idea of running away from home.
