Most writers want to be read. Either because they think they have something valuable to say, it strokes their ego, or they want to make a buck. Some of us are self-sabotaging, or frankly, just not that interesting. If you aren’t interesting or don’t have anything of value to say, you’ll probably have an uphill climb if you want to be a successful blogger.

For the moment, we will assume you are witty and have important stuff to share. With that in mind, here are some things you might not know about blogging

1. It’s really hard to make a buck blogging.

It’s so hard that 81% of bloggers never make $100. It’s true that some bloggers are not intent on making money with their blog. If not making money from your blog is your goal, you will probably achieve it.

2: The number one position on Google search is very important.

That position gets 33% of the traffic. It’s like rich people and wealth in America.

3: If you’re persistent, traffic will increase.
