Dogs are generally forgiving creatures. They provide an amazing amount of companionship and affection if given a chance. That being the case, please don’t be an ineffectual clod in the way you treat them. Here are some things to consider when analyzing how you treat your dog:

1: Do you rush them when they are going to the bathroom?

Do you like it when you’re in the bathroom and somebody says, “Hey, hurry up in there!” Probably not. Your dog doesn’t like to be rushed either.

2: Do you discuss prices with your dog?

Dogs would be extremely poor contestants on “The Price is Right.” They have no idea how much the shoes they’ve just chewed up cost. It’s really pointless to talk about replacement value when discussing canine related losses with your buddy.

3: Are you a practical joker with your dog?

Do you play keep away with him and never let him get his/her toy? Do you fake like you’re throwing a ball when playing catch with him/her? Very funny!
