10 Things on My Revised Bucket List

Like most of us, I had grandiose hopes when I was young. Then, life came along, and adjustments were made. When I was a kid, I used to watch the Bozo’s Circus show. The show had a game kids played every day. It was called Bozo’s Buckets. After a couple of kids were selected to play, the game began.

The contestants tried to drop a ping pall in six buckets lined up in a row. Obviously bucket number six was harder to drop a ping pong ball in than bucket number one. I’m in the bucket number one phase of my life now. There are still some things I’d like to do. It’s just that stuff like climbing Mount Everest, doing a four-minute mile and taking one over the Green Monster at Fenway Park are probably off the table. Those are bucket number six things. So, what are some bucket number one goals? here are ten.

1: Get my dog to stop barking every time somebody comes to our house.

After six years, I’m starting to think yelling, “Hey, knock it off!” isn’t going to get it done. Maybe I’ll watch a training video. I’m just not sure I can get my dog to watch it with me.

2: Stop and smell the roses.

While I haven’t stopped, I have slowed down. Now if I could only find some…
