How many of these do you remember.

From a physical standpoint, I was probably at my prime during the 80s. It wasn’t necessarily the best decade of my life, but it had its moments. Various trends popped up during that decade, some pretty cool, others not so much. I’ve listed some below and you can decide which fads/trends were cool and which ones weren’t.

1: The mullet.

Ah yes, business in the front and party in the back. How this trend caught on is beyond me.

So, mullet guy is on a job interview. The interviewer sees the applicant’s short hair in the front and thinks the applicant is a real worker. Does he change his mind when the applicant walks out? Is that a mulligan? Sorry.

2: Shoulder pads for women.

Not a fan of this woman. Unless the woman is playing in the offensive line. To be politically correct, I have to allow for that possibility.

3: Parachute pants.

I remember MC Hammer sporting that look. I guess they were good for dancing. I’m not totally against them. Not because I like to dance but because I’m tired of pocket dialing people. I’m also guessing it cuts down on chaffing.

4: Cabbage Patch Dolls.

You probably don't know my name, but have likely seen my work. I've written for numerous syndicated cartoon strips and my gags have appeared in national pubs.
