The Royal family, like many families has had their share of troubles recently, many involving health issues. In this particular piece, I'm not going to get into that. I wish King Charles III and Kate Middelton well as they deal with their medical problems.

I’m also not going to get into the troubled family dynamics of the Royal Family. Nor am I going to get into the Prince Charles- Diana courtship and marriage, followed the subsequent divorce. As I’m writing this, I, like you, I’m wondering what’s left.

I did read where Charles III inherited about $500 million from Queen Elizabeth. Of course, members of congress seem to amass huge amounts of money while engaged in “public service” also seem to amass huge amounts of money that is hard to account for. With that out of the way, here are some things you probably didn’t know about King Charles III.

1: Charles is the oldest member of the Royal Family to be named monarch of the United Kingdom.

If he was in the United States, he’d be almost old enough to run for President.

2: He was the first heir to the throne to have a college degree.
