Out of all the CSI TV shows, the only one I watched on a regular basis was CSI: Miami. Over a period of time, it seemed like David Caruso/Horacio Caine progressed from great crime scene investigator to Superman. He also had some idiosyncrasies. A couple stand out.

Obviously, CSI: Miami was set in Miami. So why was Horacio Caine always wearing a jacket? Did he look more imposing that way? Also, about those one-liners, Horacio Caine was like a poor man’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. Of course, Horacio had one skill Arnold didn’t. He could deliver his line while putting on a cool pair of sunglasses. That was his go to move. Now, on to some facts about CSI: Miami.

1: Horacio Caine had a background as a bomb disposal expert.

Before working for the Miami Dade Police Department, he disposed of old Steven Seagal movies.

2: Actual prosecutors have complained about the CSI-Effect. That effect is evident when jurors expect a ton of evidence and stone-cold forensic evidence, revealing the obvious guilt of the defendant.
