Crocodile Dundee was an enjoyable fish out of water comedy from 1986. The film relied heavily on the charm of Paul Hogan. I remember going to the theater with my wife and really enjoying the movie. Seeing what has become of the actors that starred in the movie, however, is sad.

Of, course the cast of the movie, like the rest of us are all nearly 40 years older. And we show it. Paul Hogan is in his 80s, and after leaving his first wife and family to marry co-star, Lind Kozlowski, they are now divorced, and she has remarried. This is getting depressing. Let’s go on to some fact about Crocodile Dundee.

1: The character of Crocodile Dundee was at least somewhat based on the exploits of Rod Ansell.

Ultimately Ansell was killed in a police shootout so not all of Crocodile was based on his life.

2: In January of 2025, The Encore Cut of the movie played in Sydney, Australia. Some scenes that could be considered transphobic and homophobic.
